Use this checklist to launch your affiliate website and publish your first money-making article. Work through it in order.

Before You Build

• ☐ Choose a narrow niche you understand
• ☐ Search for what your readers ask and what they buy
• ☐ Pick two or three affiliate programs (compare them on the top programs page)

Set Up Your Site

• ☐ Register a domain and set up hosting
• ☐ Install WordPress and an SEO plugin
• ☐ Create About, Contact, Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure pages
• ☐ Set a clear site name and tagline
• ☐ Compress images so pages load quickly
• ☐ Connect Google Search Console and submit your sitemap
• ☐ Turn on automatic backups

Publish Your First Article

• ☐ Choose one main keyword and put it in the title, URL, first paragraph and a subheading
• ☐ Answer the question in the first few lines
• ☐ Add an affiliate disclosure near the top
• ☐ Check every price and commission figure on the official page
• ☐ Add links to trusted sources and to your own related pages
• ☐ Add images with descriptive alt text
• ☐ Check how it looks on a phone before you publish

Keep Growing

• ☐ Publish on a steady schedule
• ☐ Review which pages get clicks in Search Console every month
• ☐ Update old articles when prices or terms change
